JDM vs International Seiko: What Actually Differs

JDM (Japan Domestic Market) and international Seikos are frequently the same watch under two reference systems. JDM models use closed references like SBDC101 with no market suffix and sell mainly inside Japan; international versions add a J1/K1 suffix (SPB143J1) that marks where the watch was assembled. The reliable differences are reference format, distribution region, day-wheel language and warranty — not guaranteed quality.
